I recently discovered Being Human (BBC version) on Netflix and love it.  (I specify the BBC version because apparently there’s an American remake that sucks.) As the title suggests, Being Human is more about what it means to be human than the fact that the three main characters are a vampire, a ghost, and a werewolf. 

I’m not a fan of the current vampire genre at all.  But Aiden Turner in the cliché role of sexy vampire works and not just because of his pretty face. He does an excellent job with the humor angle which, I think, would be more difficult for an actor than the smoldering, angry vampire parts.

And, omg, that Irish accent…
